In the Round Table: “The role of the media: in search of pro-equalitarian male role models”, held on October 21, 2022 at CIMASCIGUAL II, whose four speakers were experts from different media: Victoria Maso (\u00c0 Punt Media TV), Carolina Pecharrom\u00e1n (TVE. Objetivo Igualdad), Ana Requena Aguilar (eldiario.es) and Marta Pastor (RTVE. Ellas pueden. Radio 5), showed the need to work on pro-equal masculinities in the audiovisual and communication media, a topic that is still hardly addressed today.<\/p>\n
For this reason, this CIMASCIGUAL III aims to promote a collective reflection in the audiovisual and communication media on the need for their involvement in the issue of gender equality between women and men, through the audiovisual representations that will be shown. Themes such as gender equality, the socio-cultural construction of masculinity, the prevention of gender violence against boys, young men and men, corporeality and care, sport, male sexuality (pornography, prostitution, etc.), co-responsibility, emotions, religion, leisure, etc. will be addressed. <\/p>\n
We will pay special attention to audiovisual products that promote non-macho, depatriarchalized and pro-equal masculinities.<\/p>\n
We will present the gender perspective, the feminist approach and intersectionality in a transversal way. We will present lectures, papers and communications from different countries, universities and disciplines.<\/p>\n
The main objective of this event (in which numerous media and audiovisual media, Spanish and foreign universities, companies and foundations, municipalities and associations of women and men of equal status, various masters and doctoral programs in gender studies, etc. will collaborate) is to hold an international academic congress focused on the socialization exerted by the cultural industries, audiovisual and communication media in relation to gender equality or inequality in the child, adolescent, young and adult population. ) is to hold an international academic congress focused on the socialization exercised by cultural industries, audiovisual and communication media in relation to gender equality or inequality in the child, adolescent, young and adult population, focusing on the representations of men and masculinity.<\/p>\n

In addition to legal-normative gender equality (which we already have in our country), in order to achieve real and effective equality in all social spheres and in everyday life, men must join this feminist social revolution\/transformation, and for this the celebration of this type of congresses focused on the representations of men and masculinities in media is essential.<\/p>\n

En la Mesa Redonda: \u201cEl Papel de los Medios de Comunicaci\u00f3n: en busca de referentes de modelos de hombres pro-igualitarios\u201d, celebrada el 21 de octubre de 2022 en el CIMASCIGUAL II, cuyas cuatro ponentes fueron expertas de diversos medios de comunicaci\u00f3n:\u00a0 Victoria Maso (\u00c0 Punt Media TV), Carolina Pecharrom\u00e1n (TVE. Objetivo Igualdad), Ana Requena Aguilar (eldiario.es) y Marta Pastor (RTVE. Ellas pueden. Radio 5), se evidenci\u00f3 la necesidad de trabajar las masculinidades proigualitarias en los medios audiovisuales y de comunicaci\u00f3n, tema apenas tratado a\u00fan hoy en d\u00eda.<\/p>
Por ello, en este CIMASCIGUAL III se pretende favorecer una reflexi\u00f3n colectiva en los medios audiovisuales y de comunicaci\u00f3n sobre la necesidad de su implicaci\u00f3n en la cuesti\u00f3n de la igualdad de g\u00e9nero entre mujeres y hombres, a trav\u00e9s de las representaciones audiovisuales que se muestren. Se abordar\u00e1n tem\u00e1ticas tales como: la igualdad de g\u00e9nero, la construcci\u00f3n sociocultural de la masculinidad, la prevenci\u00f3n de las violencias de g\u00e9nero destinada a ni\u00f1os, j\u00f3venes y hombres, la corporalidad y el cuidado, el deporte, la sexualidad masculina (pornograf\u00eda, prostituci\u00f3n, etc.), la corresponsabilidad, las emociones, la religi\u00f3n, el ocio, etc.<\/p>
Daremos especial atenci\u00f3n a los productos audiovisuales que promuevan masculinidades no machistas, despatriarcalizadas y proigualitarias.<\/p>
Tendremos presente de manera transversal la perspectiva de g\u00e9nero, el enfoque feminista y la interseccionalidad. Presentaremos conferencias, ponencias y comunicaciones procedentes de diversos pa\u00edses, universidades, disciplinas.<\/p>
Nuestro prop\u00f3sito prioritario en este evento (en el que colaborar\u00e1n numerosos medios de comunicaci\u00f3n y audiovisuales, universidades espa\u00f1olas y extranjeras, empresas y fundaciones, ayuntamientos y mancomunidades, asociaciones de mujeres y de hombres igualitarios, diversos m\u00e1steres y doctorados de estudios de g\u00e9nero, etc.) es celebrar un congreso acad\u00e9mico internacional enfocado en la socializaci\u00f3n que ejercen las industrias culturales, los medios audiovisuales y los de comunicaci\u00f3n en relaci\u00f3n a la igualdad o desigualdad de g\u00e9nero de la poblaci\u00f3n infantil, adolescente, joven y adulta, centr\u00e1ndonos en las representaciones de los varones y la masculinidad.<\/p>
Como siempre defendemos desde el CIMASCIGUAL, nadie dijo que la igualdad de g\u00e9nero sea algo que se consiga r\u00e1pida y f\u00e1cilmente, pero no nos cabe la menor duda de que sin los hombres, esa meta ser\u00e1 imposible de alcanzar. Para que adem\u00e1s de la igualdad de g\u00e9nero legal-normativa (que ya tenemos en nuestro pa\u00eds) se consiga la verdadera igualdad real y efectiva en todas las esferas sociales y en la cotidianidad, han de sumarse los hombres a esta revoluci\u00f3n\/transformaci\u00f3n social feminista, y para ello, la celebraci\u00f3n de este tipo de congresos centrados en las representaciones de los hombres y las masculinidades en los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n y audiovisuales resulta imprescindible.<\/p>
